中国四川省、楽山市の鉱山から届いたプレナイト（葡萄石）とクォーツの共生鉱物。プレナイトの名前は最初に発見したプレーン氏(Prehn)に因んでおり、和名の葡萄石はその見た目のマスカットのような色と、葡萄の房のような形状で見つかったことに由来しています。
この鉱物はクォーツの照りも素晴らしく、母岩の少しグレーがかった色が透過して非常に綺麗な色をしています。そこにプレナイトのグリーンも合わさってとても良い表情です。
